Rodney was born June 5, 1960 in Wisconsin Rapids to Lawrence “Ed” and Marlene (King) Leinweber. He married Linda Alft on April 3, 1992 in Wisconsin Rapids. They were blessed with 29 years of marriage and two daughters, Liz and Caitlin.
Rodney was a sheet metal worker at Consolidated Papers/Verso Corp. for over 38 years.
Rodney enjoyed tinkering and putzing in his garage and always had a project he was working on. He was always making or fixing something for a family member or friend. He was very loving and caring and was always up for an adventure, whether it was riding his motorcycle, taking a bike ride around the lake with his family, or just going bumming. He loved to cook and garden. He enjoyed many Tuesday night movies (usually Sci Fi or Marvel) with plenty of popcorn at the theater with his daughter, Caitlin. He loved Disney World and took his family there many times, including a very special trip in 2019.
Rodney is survived by his loving wife, Linda; two daughters, Liz (Dustin) Gessert and Caitlin Leinweber; two grandchildren, Tucker and Addison Gessert; his father and stepmother, Lawrence “Ed” and Sharon Leinweber; his sister, Renee (Cliff) Kalata and their children: McKenna (Dylan Schudy) and Dawson Kalata; his mother-in-law, Virginia Alft; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother; grandparents, Francis and Dorothy King and Ray and Vada Leinweber; and his father-in-law, Oscar “Bud” Alft.
