David Frederick Seidler, age76, of Nekoosa passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021 at his home surrounded by family.
Services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at 1:00 P.M. at the church.
Pastor Paul Tullberg will officiate the burial at Arlington Park Cemetery in Greenfield, WI on July 30, 2021 at 12:00 P.M.
David was born July 19, 1945 in Milwaukee to William and Virginia (Rantzow) Seidler. He graduated from Pulaski High School in 1962. He proudly served in the United States Navy on the USS Simon Lake for three years and attended Milwaukee Area Technical College upon his discharge from the Navy. David married Laura Reichard on November 2, 1974. They were blessed with 46 years of marriage. He worked for the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier for 40 plus years.
As a youth, David spent many happy hours with his grandparents, his fondest memories were fishing with his grandfather. David was a fan of the Milwaukee Braves/Brewers his entire life. He enjoyed taking his family to firework demonstrations, steam train events and classic car shows. He loved music, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Above all, David enjoyed following the Lord and being a Disciple of Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his wife; children: Ed (Ellen) Dziekan, Mark (Jenn) Seidler, Ann (Jon) Primley, Andrew Seidler, and Bill (Lisa) Seidler; grandchildren: Jake, Rachel, Ian, Caitlyn, Sean, Zachary, Noah, Charlotte, and Juliet; Sister Marilyn Gellings, and close family friend Lenny Ruggles.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and daughter-in-law Trisha Seidler.
