Randy was born September 12, 1949 in Wisconsin Rapids to Gordon and Doris (Cline) Finup. He graduated from John Edwards High School in Port Edwards in 1967, and studied auto mechanics and welding at Mid-State Technical College.
He married Carol Winkler on December 27, 1970. They were blessed with 52 years of marriage and three children: Randall Jr., Kelly, and Christopher.
Randy worked as a customer service representative in the tire center at Mills Fleet Farm after his retirement. He was an excellent woodworker and owned and operated RC Crafters with his wife Carol for 25 years.
Randy was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed taking fishing trips to Canada in pursuit of walleye and northern pike, and snowmobiling. He also loved taking pontoon rides on the river and stopping at the sandbars. Randy and Carol recently spent time together on a UTV trip to West Virginia. Randy enjoyed cutting firewood and helping Carol with the yard work. He was a great handyman and was known as the “MacGyver” in the family and could fix anything around the house. He would help out anyone when they needed it. He was also a member of the Bahamas car cruise club. Randy had an infectious laugh and loved to tease others. He is loved and will be dearly missed by his loving wife Carol.
