Durward "Mac" D. McIntire Obituary (1933

Durward D. "Mac" McIntire, age 90, passed away on October 19, 2023, at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau. He was born on July 10, 1933, in Massachusetts, the son of Joseph and Dora May McIntire. Mac Married Jeanne Allen on July 26, 1956, in Hialeah, Florida. In his early years Mac drove cement trucks for Maul Industries while living in Florida. Mac and Jeanne then moved to Illinois in 1967 where he worked in construction and carpentry as well as working at Antioch High School and Huntley Middle School until his retirement in 1990, when Mac and Jeanne moved to their retirement home in Necedah, Wisconsin. Mac was a model train especially HO Scale trains as well as airplane enthusiast. He also enjoyed reading especially the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew Mysteries. Mac could also be found enjoying the outdoors, cutting wood, gardening, walking his land or woodworking, he enjoyed making furniture for his family and friends. Mac's home was always open for caring of many dogs and cats over the years. Mac was a member of First Baptist Church in Necedah where his memorial services will be held in January 2024. Mac is survived by his children, Richard (Jerry) Nolan, Laurel (Stephen) Brown and Joseph McIntire; his grandchildren, Jeramiah, Brandy, and Desiree; his great grandchildren, Michael, Katlyn, Phoebe, Haley, Preston, Alex, Zach, Abby and Kayla. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jeanne on February 11, 2021, and by several brothers and sisters. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church W6295 23rd St. Necedah. Further information will be forthcoming.
