Jean Leslie

Jean A. Leslie, age 91, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away Monday, February 2, 2026 at Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Hospital.

Services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at First English Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Cheryl Davis will officiate. Entombment will be at Forest Hill Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services on Saturday at the church.

Jean was born November 16, 1934 in Milwaukee, WI to Herbert and Minnie (Delaney) Meinecke. She married Maynard Leslie on October 10, 1953 in Milwaukee.

Jean spent many fulfilling years working in the Fabric Department at Walmart, where she was able to combine her love for crafting and sewing with her career. Known for her creative flair and eye for detail, she brought joy to countless customers with her expertise and friendly demeanor. Outside of work, Jean was a social butterfly who loved spending time with family and friends. She was a regular at local bingo, enjoyed playing cards, and never missed an episode of her favorite game shows on the Game Show Network. She was a faithful member of First English Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids.

Jean is survived by her children Brian (Vicki) Leslie of The Villages, FL and Lori Schultz of Wisconsin Rapids; five grandchildren: Jason (Jessica) Schultz of Madison, Jessica Leslie of Milwaukee, Bradley Schultz of Wisconsin Rapids, Kaylan (Chris) Koch of Maine, and Josh (Jessica) Leslie of Milwaukee; five great-grandchildren: Ariana Schultz, Gavin Koch, Levi Koch, Gustav Leslie, and Hilda Leslie; and sister-in-law, Faye Story of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Maynard; brother James Meinecke; brother-in-law Don Leslie; and sister-in-law Barbara Leslie.
