Bonnie was born on March 14, 1943 in Wisconsin Rapids to Raymond and Rose (Krcmar) Schmick. She graduated from Rudolph High School in 1960. She married David Keating on September 22, 1962.
Bonnie enjoyed being a homemaker while raising her three children. She then worked various clerical jobs in the area, including Budget Counselors, Safeway Bus Company, Head Start, Raulin Fuels, and Greeneway RV. She also did various volunteer work.
She enjoyed being with family – especially her grandchildren. She loved animals, and spending free time reading or doing crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed listening to and singing along with oldies rock-n-roll music.
Bonnie loved to have fun and had a quick wit. Even as the Lewy Body Dementia progressed, she was still known to surprise you with a witty comment.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, David; children, Trisha (Pat) Schoeneberg, Lori (Will) Woolman, and Michael (Shannon) Keating; grandchildren, Kyle Schoeneberg, Luke Schoeneberg, Emma Schoeneberg, and Fred Keating; brother, Dale (Kathy) Schmick; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sue Schmick, Scott and Peggy Keating, Diane McGregor, and Sherry Keating; and several nieces and nephews.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Rose Schmick; brother, Jim Schmick; nephew, Jeff Schmick; brother-in-law, Robert McGregor; and mother- and father-in-law, Duane and Eileen Keating.
The family wishes to thank the staff at ArborView for the care they gave Bonnie during this last year. Also, a special thanks to Hospice.
