Obituary

Carole Manz, age 83, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 at The Waterford in Wisconsin Rapids with family by her side.

Carole was born December 22, 1937 in Porter County, Indiana to Arnold and Marge Cornelius. She married Fred Miller on December 22, 1957 in Iowa. They were divorced in 1973. She married Jere Manz on February 26, 1991 in Iowa.

She was employed as a Laboratory Technician at Riverview Hospital, Doctor’s Clinic, Riverwood Clinic, all in Wisconsin Rapids, and the Perry Medical Center in Iowa. She attended MSTC and received Associate Degrees in Instrumentation and Quality Assurance Technician. She worked at Vulcan Chemical Plant as a Service Technician and was also a Paramedical Examiner for insurance companies.

She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and its Women’s Ministry as Executive Board Member, Chairman of Martha Circle, Bible Studies, Fashions for Followers, Fall Retreats at Camp Luther, and the Handbell/Chimes Choir. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society, Fancy Ladies, and enjoyed woodworking, bow hunting, crafts, computer time, moped trips, and socializing with family and friends. She was a loving wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother and enjoyed the many family gatherings.

Survivors include her brother Stephen (Jan) Cornelius of Yale, Iowa; children: Scott Miller of Wisconsin Rapids, Cynthia (Steve) Peotter of Wisconsin Rapids, Sheryl (Don) Joosten of Wisconsin Rapids, Lori (Dick) Redmond of Pittsville, and Kent Miller of Wausau; 12 Grandchildren: Krystal, Kameo, and Korrina Miller; Brett Miller; Jacob and Jordan Joosten; Jessica (Bauer) Gaupp, Jamie (Bauer) Gilbert, Jenna (Miller) Osowski, and Julia, Joseph, and Jack Redmond; 15 Great-Grandchildren: Makenzie and Shyan Miller and Payton Fehrenbach; Kaydence Adams, Korbin and Karson Mohr; Olivia, Sofia, and Michael Gaupp; Roose, Bairn, and Bennett Gilbert; Stryder Miller and Brayden and Bryson Osowski.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Pamela Ann Miller; parents; sister Delores Ann; brothers Morris and Larry; and her husband Jere.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, private family services will be held at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids.  Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.hermantaylorfuneralhome.com.
