Obituary

Dale O. Walker, age 87, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Wednesday June 8, 2022 at Cranberry Court.

Dale was born on November 1, 1934 in Eau Claire, WI to Orville and Ione (Leland) Walker. He was united in marriage to Gladys Ter Maat on August 6, 1955 and was blessed with 61 years of marriage. Dale retired from Consolidated Papers Inc. after over 40 years of service and was very proud of the many years he served as steward and vice president of the paper makers union. (Local 187) He was a fan of the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Bucks and also enjoyed playing in the Tuesday night golf league at Tri-City Golf Course. In retirement he enjoyed many years wintering in Ft. Myers Florida.

Dale is survived by his son, Randy (Laura) Walker of Rome, WI; grandchildren: Lindsay (Eric) Krueger of Menasha, WI and Jeff (Tommy) Walker of Weyauwega, WI; great-grandchildren: Olivia Krueger, Owen Krueger, Natalie Krueger. He is preceded in death by his wife and parents.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank the staff at  Cranberry Court for caring for Dale for the last four years.

We also want to thank Tim, Monica, Carissa and Rose from Interim Health Care for the wonderful care provided during hospice. You are angels.
