Obituary

Gordon F. Ashbeck, age 56, of Junction City, WI passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021 of a heart attack at his home.

Gordon was born May 12, 1964 in Wisconsin Rapids to the late James and Joan (Wolcott) Ashbeck.

After graduating from Lincoln High School in 1982, Gordon went on to complete an apprenticeship through the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.  He was awarded his journeyman’s certificate in July of 1989.  He was a proud member of Local Union 804 and worked as a superintendent for Boldt Construction for 35 years.  Gordon retired in June of 2019 at the age of 55.

Gordon married Sandra Jinsky on June 7, 1995.  Gordon enjoyed spending time with his grandsons, going on 4-wheeler rides with his wife and kids, and cutting wood.  He also enjoyed spending time with his family and his beloved dog Billie in his “man cave”, and cranking up the tunes whenever a good classic rock song was on.

Gordon is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sandra; his son, “Little” Gordy (Carley) Ashbeck; his daughter, Emily Ashbeck; three grandsons: Anthony Ashbeck, Mason Ashbeck, and Bentley Ashbeck; his brothers: James (Debra) Ashbeck, Daniel Ashbeck, Steven (Loraine) Ashbeck, and Christopher (Darlene) Ashbeck; his sister, Pauline (Phillip) Davis; and many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Joan Ashbeck; sister, Mary Joan Ashbeck; nephew, Jesse Ashbeck; son, Jonathon Ashbeck; and two awesome dogs, Brandy and Midnight.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Herman-Taylor Funeral Home, Wisconsin Rapids, is honored to be assisting the Ashbeck family.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.hermantaylorfuneralhome.com.
