Jean Dorothy Langer, age 89, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Our House Assisted Living in Wisconsin Rapids.
Services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Jean was born September 19, 1931 in Vesper, WI to Orra and Anna (Daane) Ubinger. She married the love of her life Charles Langer in 1948 and had one daughter.
Jean worked in the office at the Doctors Clinic in Wisconsin Rapids for over 30 years.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church-Seneca Corners and its Ladies Aid. She was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Jean enjoyed shopping, cooking, going out with family and friends, and shaking dice. She loved family gatherings and cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Linda Reiber of Adams; granddaughter, Ashley Reiber; granddaughter, Carie (Greg) Silesky; granddaughter, Kami Reiber; great-grandson, Colton Reuterskiold; sister, JoAnn (Toby) Keen; brother, Larry Ubinger; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Orra and Anna Ubinger; husband, Charles Langer; in-laws: Joseph and Agnes Langer; brothers: Howard (Edith) Ubinger, Laverne (Dorothy) Ubinger, Ken (Nancy) Ubinger, Ronald (Linda) Ubinger, and Darold Ubinger; sister, Eleanor (Melvin) Joosten; sisters-in-law: Karen Ubinger, Helen Ubinger, and Marion (Woody) Peterson.
