Joanne M. Heller, age 88, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Arborview Court in Wisconsin Rapids.Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Timothy Ritter will officiate. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services on Wednesday at the church.Joanne was born September 9, 1934 in Wisconsin Rapids to Alpha and Marie (Keip) Snyder. She married Harvey Heller on April 16, 1955 at St. Lukes Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids.Joanne was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She thoroughly enjoyed bowling with the Senior League, playing cards at the Lowell Center, and making friends. She was president of the Senior Citizens Club for 10 years until it closed.She enjoyed camping with family, baking yummy wedding cakes, canning fresh vegetables from the garden, a simple road trip, and dancing to polkas and waltzes.Joanne is survived by her husband of 67 years, Harvey; her children, SueAnn (Dale) Goessl of Vesper, Gary (Joy) Heller and Kathleen Hutkowski both of Wisconsin Rapids; her grandchildren, Stephanie (Thomas) Krause of Wisconsin Rapids, Christina (Josh) Domke of Port Edwards, Robert (Ellen Preston) Heller of Madison, Amy (Zach) Gray of Nekoosa, Amanda (Mitchell) Deady of Rowlett, TX and Cody (Angel Gotz) Hutkowski of Wisconsin Rapids; and her great-grandchildren, Brandon and Jacob Krause, Izak, Aaden and Addison Domke, Colton Hutkowski, Thor Gray, as well as 3 on the way. She is further survived by her siblings, Roger (Marie) Snyder of Port Edwards, Nancy Van Dreel of Plover and Larry (Judy) Snyder of Burkburnett, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents as well as brothers-in-law, David Van Dreel, Marvin Heller, Raymond Heller, Norman Jensen and Donald Roehl; and sisters-in-law Nancy Heller, Ann Heller and Irene Jensen.Family would like to express a heartfelt Thank you to the staffs of Arborview Court and Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services for all the care they gave Joanne.
