Kaitlyn Allison Dakota “Huccxunįkįga”, age 26, of Milwaukee, WI, walked into the spirit world May 7, 2023 when she passed away at home.
Native American Church commitment services will be 12:00 P.M. on Friday, May 12, 2023 at the Holly Dakota Residence, 4608 Lonetree Lane, Vesper, WI. John Dick will officiate. Burial will be at Babcock Cemetery.
Kaitlyn was born September 5, 1996 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI to Richard Dakota Jr. and Angela Wanatee.
She will always be remembered for the love she had for her family and friends. Kaitlyn had a free-spirited personality, she loved to laugh and enjoyed life. She loved listening to music and watching movies. She enjoyed being outdoors and shopping.
Kaitlyn is survived by her mother Angela Wanatee; sisters: Candace Dakota (Ahmilyon Alinis, Remy Alinis, Majestic Alinis), Holly Dakota (Adriana Webster, John Webster, Silas Webster), daughters: Demyla, Bria, Samara, and Ayiah; fiancé Terrynce Nelson; and many relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Richard James Dakota Jr.; great grandmother Emaline Twinn; grandmothers: Bonnie Twinn and Janette Dakota;
grandfathers: Nathaniel Dick, Crandall Dick, Norbert Dick, Keith Dick and grandmothers: Lorna Nakai (Dick), Lenora Smith (Dick), and Elaine Nakai (Dick); great grandparents: Vanverd Dick Sr. and Emaline Dick (Grizzly Bear); and brothers: Carlos Nakai, Joseph Nakai, Calvin Nakai, Casper Nakai and Terrance Smith.
