Obituary

Leslie L. Krug, age 67, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at her residence.

A memorial visitation for relatives and friends will be held from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. on Monday, June 27, 2022 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids.

Leslie was born November 27, 1954 in Wisconsin Rapids to James and Berdine (Swartout) Keyes.  She married Frederick L. Krug on March 25, 1972 in Marshfield, WI.  He preceded her in death on November 24, 2020.

Leslie worked at Ore-Ida/McCain Foods until her retirement.

She enjoyed bowling, swimming, and exercising at Curves for many years.  She loved the outdoors, especially camping and birdwatching.  She also loved listening to Elvis Presley music.  Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.

Leslie is survived by two children: Chad (Kelly) Krug and Laura (Chad) Baker; grandchildren: Erika, Destiny, Junior and Titiana; sister, Julie (David) David; and brother, Mike (Dawn) Keyes.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Frederick, and brother Gary Keyes.

Leslie’s family would like to thank the area medical and police personnel, the Wood County Coroner’s Office, and Herman-Taylor Funeral Home for their professionalism and compassion for the family.
