Lori Jean (Smits) Robinson, age 64, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023, at home, surrounded by her family. She was born on January 30, 1959, the daughter of Gerald and Carolyn (DePagter) Smits.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 12:00 noon at Christian Life Fellowship, 600 7th Street Port Edwards. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Herman-Taylor Funeral Home. There will also be a visitation on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Burial will be at a later date at Restlawn Memorial Park.
Lori graduated from Lincoln High School in 1977 and then graduated from City School of Cosmetology in Appleton. Lori married Leslie Robinson on June 30, 1979. She was proud of her career having worked at Johnson Hills in the Beauty Shop, she then worked at Perfect Touch and later Shear Class until retiring do to an illness in 2019. She fought a courageous battle with Multiple System Atrophy “MSA”.
Lori was a faithful member of Christian Life Fellowship; she so loved her church community. She also enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, she had a servant heart working in the kitchen. Most of all she loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren, attending as many things with them as she could.
Lori is survived by her husband Leslie; her children, Sara (Kevin) Coder and Brian (Sarah) Robinson; her grandchildren, Kennedy, Madison and Lincoln Coder, Anna and Maggie Robinson; her father Gerald Smits; sisters, Sandra (Paul) Jeltema and Mary (Eric) Ylvisaker; brothers, Dale (Kim) Smits and Dan (Gwen) Smits; brother-in-law, Keith (Brenda) Robinson and sister-in-law, Kim Robinson she is further survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Carolyn Smits; her father and mother-in-law Harold and Maryanne Robinson and her brother-in-law Douglas Robinson
The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the hospice teams at Aspirus Comfort Care Hospice and Inner Peace Home Care Home Services for all the care they gave Lori.
