Marlene “Ann” Stranz, age 86, of Wisconsin Rapids (Town of Saratoga) passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.
Ann was born November 3, 1934 in the town of Buena Vista, Portage County, WI to Harvey and Mabel (Berg) Sherman. She attended school at Keene and high school at Almond. She married Warren E. Stranz on April 26, 1957 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Stevens Point. He died on December 27, 2020.
Ann worked in the ordering and billing department at Consolidated Papers Inc. until her retirement.
She enjoyed experiencing different cultures and seeing several countries and continents with her husband on their world travels. Ann’s greatest joy was serving Jehovah God and helping others study the bible. She was well known for her deeds of kindness and her positive spirit no matter how dire the circumstances and always had a smile on her face.
Ann is survived by her sister-in-law, Joyce (Ray) Pittier of Wisconsin Rapids; special friends: Bob (Kathy) Carter, George (Carol) Strozewski, and David (Janet) Lay all of Wisconsin Rapids; and many others in the congregation. She is preceded in death by her parents and infant siblings Linus and MaryAnn.
Per Ann’s wishes, no visitation or services will be held at this time. Herman-Taylor Funeral Home, Wisconsin Rapids, is honored to be assisting the family.
