Obituary

Morley E.A. Rendmeister Sr., age 81, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.

Morley was born August 19, 1939 in the Town of Sherry, Wood County, WI to Frank and Grace (Krubsack) Rendmeister.  He served his country in the United States Navy.

Morley was employed as a pipefitter/steamfitter at Consolidated Papers Inc. in Wisconsin Rapids until his retirement.

He loved traveling to Alaska and Mexico and wintering in Florida.  He enjoyed shooting pool on mill leagues, bowling, and hunting and fishing with family and friends (including deep sea fishing off the coast of Maine).  He coached his sons in baseball and won a championship.  He followed the Badgers and Packers wherever they played.

Morley is survived by his life partner, Jean Erdman; children: Morley Jr. (Becky) Rendmeister, Martin (Donnetta) Rendmeister, and Maggie Rendmeister; Jean’s children: Rick (Laurie) Erdman, Dan (Wendy) Erdman, Tami Dhein, and Jeff (Laurie) Erdman; 15 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; sister, Jean (Ron) Miller; and brother, Sheldon Rendmeister I.  He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Leatrice Rendmeister, Joyce Schulze, and Janis Wills; brothers: Eugene Rendmeister and Gary Rendmeister; Barbara Dunbar Rendmeister; and Blanche Rendmeister.

Private family services with military honors will be held at a later date.  His final resting place will be at Green Hill Cemetery.  Herman-Taylor Funeral Home, Wisconsin Rapids, is honored to be assisting the family.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.hermantaylorfuneralhome.com.
