Ralph Roginski, Jr., age 78, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at his residence.
Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Ralph was born January 23, 1943 in Marshfield, WI to Ralph and Anna (Wiatrok) Roginski. He graduated from Assumption High School in Wisconsin Rapids, and was quite proud that he paid his own way through high school doing multiple paper routes. After graduating from Assumption, Ralph enlisted in the US Navy. He served his country during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Italy.
Ralph married Mary “Candy” Roginski on September 21, 1968 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids.
Ralph was employed as a dryer operator at Consolidated Papers Inc., Wisconsin Rapids Division, for 43 years until his retirement.
Ralph loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and looked forward to family get togethers. He enjoyed taking care of his lawn and yard. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and ice fishing. Ralph looked forward to his annual fishing trip to Canada with family and friends, a tradition that spanned 30 years. He loved spending time at the cabin on Lake George near Rhinelander. He was an avid bike rider and rode his bike to work every day, even in the winter.
Ralph is survived by his son, Randy (Laura) Roginski of Black River Falls, WI; daughter, Missy (Jeremy) Froehle of Wisconsin Rapids; four grandchildren: Christopher (Miranda) Roginski, Ryan Beck, Garrett Froehle, and Elliot Froehle; two great-grandchildren; brother, Richard (Becky) Roginski; sisters: Audrey (Don) Leary, Linda (Mike) Bergeman, Mary Jo (Larry) Gustafson, and Betty (Bill) Kann; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents; wife, Candy; son, Mark Roginski; and brother, Gary (Margaret) Roginski Sr.
