Sharon J. Kreutzer (Finup), age 80, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at her home surrounded by family.
Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Dr. Carlton Andersen will officiate. Entombment will be at Forest Hill Mausoleum. Visitation for relatives and friends will be at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, March 26 and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Saturday, March 27.
Sharon was born in 1940 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI to Leonard and Elizabeth (Knuth) Finup. She married David A. Kreutzer on July 4, 1957 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.
Sharon graduated from Lincoln High School and Mid State Technical College with a Secretarial Science associates degree where she stayed on as a secretary for a time. Earlier she had worked for the local hat store and locker plant in the office. She also worked for a secretarial temp service and at Xpedex, where she retired in 1999. When Sharon was not working, she was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, canning, and collecting. Sharon found great joy in blessing everyone she knew with custom made greeting cards for every occasion.
She had a passion for learning and teaching that she used at her church, St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. She taught numerous bible studies throughout her adult life, served on many church boards, and served in the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) in significant roles locally and regionally as well as attending national conventions. Sharon was devoted to her close family as she was very involved in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Wednesday nights were always supper at grandma and grandpa’s for nearly three decades.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, David A. Kreutzer; daughter-in-law, Julie Kreutzer (fiancé Tim Haferman); grandchildren, Joshua (Shanna) Kreutzer and Jessica (Johnathon) Kroening; great-grandchildren: Kaden, Kayla and Kendra Kreutzer and Madelyn and Colton Kroening; sister, Marilyn (Paul James) Hepp; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her loving and devoted son, David J. Kreutzer; parents Leonard and Elizabeth Finup; father and mother-in-law, John and Anna Kreutzer; and brother and sisters-in-law: John A. Kreutzer, Ruth (Bernard) Janskivich, Frances (Ray) Olsen, and Richard (Rita) Kreutzer.
