Warren E. Stranz, age 85, of Wisconsin Rapids (Town of Saratoga) passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020 at his residence.
Warren was born March 6, 1935 in Wisconsin Rapids to Joseph and Mildred (Hart) Stranz. He attended Lone Pine Grade School and graduated from Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids. He married Marlene Ann Sherman on April 27, 1957 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Stevens Point.
Warren worked for a brief time at Preway in Wisconsin Rapids and was a carpenter for Ramsden Construction in Wisconsin Rapids until his retirement.
Warren was very handy and a skilled carpenter. He was proud of having built his own home. He loved to garden, especially flower gardening, and enjoyed trout fishing. He had a great sense of humor. He and Ann traveled extensively.
Warren was a man of great faith. He was proud to be an elder of the local congregation.
Warren is survived by his loving wife, Marlene “Ann”; one sister, Joyce (Ray) Pittier of Wisconsin Rapids; special friends: Bob (Kathy) Carter, George (Carol) Strozewski, and David (Janet) Lay all of Wisconsin Rapids; LaVerne Miller of New London; and many others in the congregation. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Donald and Calvin Stranz.
Per Warren’s wishes, no visitation or services will be held at this time. Herman-Taylor Funeral Home, Wisconsin Rapids, is honored to be assisting the family.
